I believe Tom is more than he seems. He loves both Daisy and Myrtle, but from the outside, he looks as though he has a romance with having to romances. He is a hugely judgmental man and on nearly every occasion says what he thinks, however, only his opinions are expressed, not necessarily his emotions. Tom is surrounded by a hard shell keeping his inside hidden.
I feel like Gatsby is not quite who he appears to be in the public eye. Gatsby seems to be this big, powerful, greedy man who just cares about money. In reality, he is a gentle man who has done all he has to impress one girl, Daisy. He just wanted to be with her at all costs, so when she wanted money, Gatsby did not hesitate. A small farm boy completely turned his life around, not exactly how he wanted, in his attempt to find true happiness and love.
I think Jordan is not quite what she is played up to be. If you think about it, she is not very nice, she lies, and she cheats, yet still people look at her with great awe. In my opinion Jordan thinks the world revolves around her. I think that she never really cares about anyone other then herself, but she pretends to care about Daisy and Nick but they are only temporary friendships in Jordan's mind. Jordan only does what is best for her, which is possibly also why she goes to Gatsbys parties. She goes to meet people more important or famous then her so she can climb the social ladder.
